"Sun Break Hill" Plein Air at Auction!

Sitting across from this hill, I loved the almost perfectly rounded crest that was sun lit in front of dark low-hanging clouds. What a gorgeous view! The trees glowed from the light. This painting is unframed and is 6 X 8" on archival linen board.

Sold! "Advance Mills Hay Bales" by C. Twomey

"Advance Mills Hay Bales" C. Twomey

Thank you to the collector of this painting, your interest is greatly appreciated! For additional information, please click HERE.

Along Advance Mills Road is an area of large hayfields, usually right next to the cattle the hay will feed. These fields look out onto the Blue Ridge Mountains, but this time what caught my eye were the bales themselves. The patterns of bright sun with contrasting shadows as the sun fell were stunning.

Moxie in the Maples; Vermont

Moxie in the Maples, Vermont
That's my wonderful, spoiled dog Moxie in the lower left, galavanting through the turning maple leaves in Rochester, Vermont. Thinking of doing a painting of this, as I like how the shadows and slope appear. Every day brings a new round of color and peace.

Award Winning Artist Auction Ending Today

Original Oil by Twomey
The Sun Found The Hillside

The Sun Found The Hillside auction ending today, Wednesday March 12 on Daily Paintworks. This is a 10 X 8" original oil on linen.

The way the sun hit this hillside as it raced to the horizon is what drew my eye. Down below, a old shanty town was lost in the shadows. The rusted roofs were such a contrast against the strong hillside design - I had to paint it. There were a couple of hours to get it down, but the sun was quick to depart and I had to fight not to overwork it. It was a goal reached.

The painting is unframed. This is how it would look framed:

Thank you for your consideration.
