"Thomas Jefferson's White Oak Tree On The Way To James Madison's For Afternoon Tea" Oil, 23 X 24", Twomey

"Thomas Jefferson's White Oak Tree On The Way To James Madison's For Afternoon Tea"
oil on maple, C. Twomey

Framed by hand in a gorgeous floating stained box frame.

An ancient white oak tree, hundreds of years old, on the way from Thomas Jefferson's Monticello to James Madison's Montpelier. It is a rare oak with a huge tulip-shaped trunk. I was lucky enough to paint it before it was fenced off.

In oil, 12" W X 24" H on gessoed maple board.
